Chrome Katana: The Ghost of Neo-Edo

In the year 2341, Neo-Edo is a city of stark contrasts. Towering holographic geishas dance over rain-slicked streets, their vibrant light failing to penetrate the perpetual smog that chokes the lower city. Here, amidst the noodle stalls and black-market cybernetic clinics, disgraced ronin-for-hire, Kaito, struggles to forget a past that haunts his every waking moment. Once a high-ranking enforcer for the formidable Yashida-gumi syndicate, a single act of defiance cost him everything: his honor, his arm, and the woman he loved.

Now, equipped with a temperamental chrome prosthetic and a growing dependency on synthetic sake, Kaito takes on jobs that barely cover his expenses. But when a mysterious client offers him an exorbitant sum to track down a rogue geisha-bot, Kaito is drawn into a conspiracy that reaches the highest echelons of Neo-Edo’s society. The geisha-bot, they say, holds the key to a devastating secret—one that the Yashida-gumi will kill to protect.

To unravel the truth, Kaito must navigate a treacherous world of data-thieves, augmented assassins, and his own personal demons. With the ghosts of his past closing in and the neon-drenched streets baying for his blood, the disgraced ronin must decide if redemption is worth paying the ultimate price. In a city where memories can be erased and loyalties are as fleeting as a cherry blossom in the wind, Kaito’s only allies are a razor-sharp wit and the cold, hard steel of his chrome katana.
